Chart notes:
British singer/songwriter Sakima (from Buckinghamshire, England) reaches the #1 spot on the LGBT chart at midweek with "Pretty Boys", moving up 2 more places from the weekend's #3 position. Sakima (whose real name is Isaac Sakima) has stated that he aims to add queer stories and a gay perspective to traditional pop and R&B music with the hope of normalizing LGBTQ experiences. On his sexuality, Sakima reported "I never 'realized' I was gay. I always knew. I've never known anything different." Over the past half-week, the video for "Pretty Boys" has gained an additional 120 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.21% since the weekend's chart).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek, including a return from a former #7 hit: Spanish musician Pablo Alborán rebounds back up 2 positions to #10 with "Ave De Paso". Fellow Spaniard Guitarricodelafuente climbs 5 notches to #6 with "Gaita Margariteña". Russian-Serbian band Sansara rises 7 spots to #7 with "Ex6-Mck". They're joined in the Top 10 by British singer/songwriter Hannah Trigwell (from West Yorkshire, England), who's moving up 4 more places to #9 with "BFF".

Five songs fall off the chart to make way for five new songs. The midweek chart features 5 debuts by LGBTQ artists from Australia, Spain, the U.S.A., New Zealand, and Chile:
  • David Rees (from Spain)
  • Milahroy (from California, U.S.A.)
  • Sarah Mary Chadwick (originally from New Zealand & now residing in Australia)
  • Reindr (from Chile)
  • Keiynan Lonsdale (from Australia)
Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the email address below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
