Chart notes:
The video with the most votes this week was "Venus Or Mars" by Daniel Schuhmacher, and those extra points helped to push him up into the #1 spot on the chart. Daniel was the winner of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the German version of American Idol, in 2009. He came out as gay in 2014, in an interview with a German magazine called IN.

The remainder of the Top Five this week are: Israeli-American singer Kfir (rising 3 spots to #2), the collaboration from Lauv & Troye Sivan (rebounding a notch to #3), Argentinian singer Diego Diaz (slipping 3 spots to #4), and Dutch singer Duncan Laurence (moving up 2 notches to #5).

As some of you might have noticed in last week's playlist, Irish-American singer Flavia (who rises 9 spots this week to #15) has changed the title of her most recent song. It was formerly known as "I Don't Wanna Be Here" and it's now called "Til I Die". The song and the video are exactly the same as before, and it's only the title that has changed.

Nine songs fell off the chart this week to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut of the week was "All the Songs" by Will Young, coming in at #29. The English singer-songwriter was the winner of Britain's Pop Idol back in 2002, making him the very first winner of the worldwide Idol franshise.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube and the percentage of increase in views from one week to the next, (4) my votes, and (5) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a message on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
