Midweek Music Update

For the month of April 2019, I'm experimenting with a few new ideas to improve this site and make it even better. One of my ideas is to have twice-weekly updates. I'll continue to post the Top 50 chart & playlist every weekend, as usual. In addition, I'll post a Midweek Music Update (likely on Wednesdays) to give you a "sneak peek" at some new music that hasn't made my chart yet.

The only feedback I received last week about the Midweek Music Update was:
 - To please skip the Voting Recap part, in order to make it shorter.
 - To post it on Wednesday or Thursday, rather than Tuesday.
Both of these requests are easy enough, and this is an experiment after all. As the old saying goes, let's give the people what they want.

Hot New Track:
In this section, I'll post one track that is certain to make my chart and playlist next weekend. This week's Hot New Track is "No Match" by South African singer Mx Blouse. As I write this, the video has 5,036 views on YouTube.

Overlooked Gem:
In this section, I'll post one track that hasn't gotten a large number of views but looks likely to enter my chart based on the percentage increase in views. This week's overlooked gem is "Lucky Star" by Russian/Finnish producer TEO Entertainment. The video currently has 197 views on YouTube.

Fresh New Releases:
In this section, I'll post two or three videos that are likely to make my chart in the near future based on YouTube views alone. All of the songs in this section will be relatively recent (released in the last month or so). Because they are so new, it might take 2-3 weeks for them to make my chart.

The first Fresh New Release this week is "Better Man" by Irish band Westlife. The video has 4,234,958 views on YouTube.

The second Fresh New Release this week is "All The Songs" by English singer Will Young. The video has 181,539 views on YouTube.

The third and final Fresh New Release this week is "Pazzeska" by Italian drag queen Myss Keta & Italian rapper Gue Pequeno. The clip has 825,079 views on YouTube.
