Chart Week 11 of 2022: 13 March

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Chart Week #11 of 2022: Week of 13th March

Chart notes:
Brazilian drag queen Gloria Groove takes over the #1 spot on the LGBT chart this weekend with "Vermelho", moving up 3 more places from the midweek's #4 position. The track is the fourth single to be released off Gloria's album Lady Leste, which debuted at #1 on The Spotify Global Albums Chart. The first four singles from that album have all reached the Top 5 here on the LGBT chart: "Bonekinha (Dolly)" peaked at #4 in July 2021, "A Queda" reached #1 in November 2021, "Leilão" hit #1 in January 2022, and now "Vermelho" has risen to #1 as well. Over the past four days, the video for "Vermelho" has gained an additional 2,519,505 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 16.37% since the midweek's chart!).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend. American musician Kailee Morgue (from Phoenix, Arizona) climbs 6 notches to #5 with "Another Day in Paradise". Canadian singer Xana (from Saskatchewan) rises 9 spots to #6 with "My Therapist Told Me". American DJ/producer Diplo (from Tennessee, USA) moves up 8 places to reach #8 with "Don't Forget My Love". They're joined in the Top 10 by American singer/songwriter Donna Missal (from East Brunswick, New Jersey), who's moving up 9 positions to #10 with "Butterfly".

Please note that there is a new official video for Diplo's "Don't Forget My Love". This new clip will replace the older lyric video in the playlist going forward. For the sake of consistency, the chart position for "Don't Forget My Love" was determined this weekend by statistics from the older lyric video. Beginning today, only the official video will be used.

Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Alien" by Dutch EDM duo Galantis, entering the chart at #40. The track is a collaboration with Dutch duo Lucas And Steve, with vocals provided by Swiss singer/songwriter Ilira. Galantis has previously worked with big-name artists like Britney Spears, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Dolly Parton, and Kylie Minogue. They recently spent 3 weeks at #1 on the LGBT chart (along with Years And Years) with "Sweet Talker". Over the past half-week, the video for "Alien" has gained an additional 96,359 YouTube views (which is an increase of 7.67% over the previous chart period).

Further down the chart, we have 8 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from Mexico, England, Thailand, the U.S.A., Scotland, Sweden, and Italy:
  • Off Jumpol & Gun Attaphan (both from Thailand)
  • Joesef (from Scotland, UK)
  • Niña Dioz (from Mexico)
  • Benedict Cork (from England, UK)
  • Sam Tsui (from Pennsylvania, USA)
  • Blixx 86 (from Sweden) & Italoconnection (from Italy)
  • Cody Frost (from England, UK)
  • Memo Luna & Diego Inferno (from Mexico)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
