Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Midweek Chart for 2nd March, 2022

Chart notes:
American artist Hollis Wong-Wear (from Seattle, Washington) reaches the #1 spot on the LGBT chart at midweek with "Tripwires", moving up 3 more places from the weekend's #4 position. She is best-known for her collaborative work with fellow Seattle musicians Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, for which she was nominated for The 2014 Grammy Awards for her songwriting and vocals on their album The Heist. Hollis's own solo career has been taking off with the release of her first full-length solo album (entitled Subliminal), which has earned rave reviews from critics. Over the past three days, the video for "Tripwires" has gained an additional 1,961 views on YouTube (which is a huge increase of 11.82% since the weekend's chart!).

Three videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek. English musician Calum Scott jumps 10 notches to #5 with "If You Ever Change Your Mind". American singer/songwriter Bryce Bowyn (from Washington, D.C.) leaps ahead 11 places to #7 with "Bye Bye". They're joined in the Top 10 by South Korean sextet OnlyOneOf, who climb 4 spots to #10 with "Skinz".

Eight songs fall off the chart to make way for eight new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "Te Lo Pido Por Favor" by Chilean musician Francisco Victoria, entering the chart at #26. The track, a collaboration with American-born Chilean singer Francisca Valenzuela, has already appeared on the radio airplay charts of four different countries (Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, and Venezuela). Over the past half-week, the video for "Te Lo Pido Por Favor" has gained an additional 30,729 YouTube views (which is a gigantic increase of 62.68% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 7 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, the U.S.A., Brazil, Sweden, and Australia:
  • Gloria Groove (from Brazil)
  • Charli XCX & Rina Sawayama (both from England, UK)
  • Tove Lo (from Sweden)
  • Lauren Sanderson (from Indiana, USA)
  • Hollie Col (from Australia)
  • Bleachers (from New Jersey, USA)
  • Awfultune (from New York, USA)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
