Chart notes:
Chinese rapper/singer/actor Jackson Wang earns his first #1 on the LGBT chart this weekend with "Blow", moving up 4 more places from the midweek's #5 position. It's the first single to be released off his upcoming English-language studio album Magic Man. Jackson, who is originally from Hong Kong and now resides in mainland China, speaks four languages fluently (Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and Korean) and he represented Hong Kong at the Olympics (in fencing) before embarking on his musical career. On the digital/streaming charts, the track has achieved #1 in 67 countries and has reached the Top 30 of the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. It's the third-highest charting English-language song on Apple Music China. In the U.S.A., the song is currently at #47 on the MediaBase CHR/Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart. It's also reached #1 on the official radio airplay chart in Singapore and has appeared on the radio airplay charts of three other countries (currently #18 in Taiwan, #24 in Thailand, and #86 in the Philippines). Over the past four days, the video for "Blow" has gained an additional 875,902 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 4.27% since the midweek's chart).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, three of which happen to be from American artists: Miley Cyrus (from Franklin, Tennessee) climbs 8 notches to #3 with "Like a Prayer", Mila Jam (from Columbus, Georgia) rises 8 spots to #4 with "God and Guns", and Mark Tuan (from Arcadia, California) gains 7 more places to reach #9 with "Lonely". They're joined in the Top 10 by Canadian singer/songwriter Ria Mae (from Halifax, Nova Scotia), who's moving up 6 more positions to #8 with "The Old Me".

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "Tongue Tied" by American singer/rapper Lauren Sanderson, entering the chart at #32. Lauren (who's originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana) left Epic Records to become an independent artist. She's already released two other singles this year ("Therapy!" and, along with Australian musician G Flip, "Gay 4 Me"). Her latest track is entitled "Tongue Tied", not to be confused with an entirely different song by Canadian vocalist Theo Tams which is also on the chart this weekend. (Theo's song with the same title is also doing well, moving up 9 spots to #20 this weekend in its third week on the chart.) Over the past half-week, the video for Lauren Sanderson's "Tongue Tied" has gained an additional 15,933 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 21.69% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 11 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from Australia, England, the U.S.A., Israel, Italy, and Bolivia:
  • Netta (from Israel)
  • Brothers Osborne (from Maryland, USA)
  • Myylo (from Tennessee, USA)
  • Kylie Minogue (from Australia) & Gloria Gaynor (from New Jersey, USA)
  • Nieri (originally from Italy & now residing in California, USA)
  • Angel Olsen (from Missouri, USA)
  • Brittany Howard (from Alabama, USA)
  • Sheldon Riley (from Australia)
  • Tia Kofi (from England, UK)
  • Luis Gamarra (originally from Bolivia & now living in Florida, USA)
  • Cody Frost (from England, UK)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes, with YouTube views accounting for two-thirds of the total points. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
