Chart notes:
American singer Miley Cyrus scores another #1 on the LGBT chart at midweek with "Like a Prayer", moving up 2 more places from the weekend's #3 position. The track is a cover of Madonna's 1989 hit, and the video was filmed during Miley's live performance at the Super Bowl in February 2022. Miley's version has just surpassed 2 million total YouTube views since its release on March 31st. Over the past three days, the video for "Like a Prayer" has gained an additional 323,383 views on YouTube (which is a huge increase of 18.88% since the weekend's chart!).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek. American rapper/singer Omar Apollo (from Hobart, Indiana) leaps ahead 11 notches to #4 with "Tamagotchi". Lithuanian musician Gabrielius Vagelis also jumps 11 places, reaching #8 with "Gyvenu". American artist Todrick Hall (from Dallas, Texas) rises 3 spots to #9 with "Queen". They're joined in the Top 10 by Brazilian drag superstar Pabllo Vittar and English singer Rina Sawayama, who move up 3 more notches to #10 with "Follow Me".

Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut at midweek was "Quem Mama É Você" by Brazilian singer Piettro, entering the chart at #34. The lyrics discuss an issue that is often frowned upon in Brazil: an age difference in a relationship, and specifically about an older man who rejects the advances of a younger man. Piettro emphasizes that age should not be a problem for the relationship, which should focus on love and affection. "We get involved with someone for various reasons, but it's always out of love. Different age relationships shouldn't be this taboo anymore. If you love and it makes you feel good, that's enough," he vents. Over the past half-week, the video for "Quem Mama É Você" has gained an additional 13,603 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 57.28% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 8 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Puerto Rico, Mexico, France, Canada, Sweden, and Austria:
  • Ricky Martin (from Puerto Rico) & Reik (from Mexico)
  • Clay (from California, USA)
  • Conan Gray (from Texas, USA)
  • Chéri (from France)
  • Lizzo (from Texas, USA)
  • Orville Peck (from Ontario, Canada)
  • Isak Danielson (from Sweden)
  • Conchita Wurst (from Austria)

Chart positions are determined by points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes, with YouTube views accounting for two-thirds of the total points. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
