Chart notes:
There's a new #1 on the LGBT chart this weekend, as Brazilian drag superstar Pabllo Vittar teams up with English musician Rina Sawayama on "Follow Me", moving up one more place from the midweek's #2 position. In a press release, Pabllo said "I'm so excited to release this song with Rina -- she is such an icon, and I'm so pleased we managed to make this song work as it's the perfect combination of our music styles. I really hope the fans love it as much as we do." Over the past four days, the video for "Follow Me" has gained an additional 65,639 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 1.84% since the midweek's chart).

Five videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, including two that are returning to the Top 10 after falling out: American vocalist Miley Cyrus rebounds back up 5 places to #8 with "Like a Prayer", while Lithuanian singer Gabrielius Vagelis regains 4 positions to move back up to #10. Two of the remaining videos are from American acts: Lizzo (from Houston, Texas) is climbing 8 spots to #3 with "About Damn Time", while Conan Gray (from Lemon Grove, California) rises 6 notches to #6 with "Memories". They're joined in the Top 10 by French artist Chéri, who moves up 7 more places to reach #9 with "Mira Me".

Please note that there is a brand-new video for "I Love My Nails" by Israeli singer/songwriter Netta (currently at #17). The new clip was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, May 12th and will replace the live performance video on this chart & playlist from now on. This weekend's chart position was determined by using data from the older clip, but starting today only the new video will count.

Eight songs fall off the chart to make way for seven new songs and one re-entry. The highest debut this weekend was "Hatefuck" by Russian collective Pussy Riot and American singer Slayyyter, entering the chart at #35. The members of Pussy Riot have been outspoken in their support of LGBTQ rights since the beginning of their career, and in 2012 they confirmed that at least one member identifies as LGBTQ. In 2011, two members of Pussy Riot were arrested for attending a banned Gay Pride rally in Moscow and were briefly detained by the police. Over the past half-week, the video for "Hatefuck" has gained an additional 7,431 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 14.76% since the previous chart period).

Further down the chart, we have 6 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, the U.S.A., Brazil, Belgium, France, and Japan:
  • Lia Clark (from Brazil)
  • Will Young (from England, UK)
  • Angèle (originally from Belgium & now residing in France)
  • Jessie Paege (from New Jersey, USA)
  • Boyish (from Massachusetts, USA)
  • Bentley Jones (originally from England & now living in Japan)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
