Chart Week 15 of 2022: 10 April

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Chart Week #15 of 2022: Week of 10th April

Chart notes:
There's no change at the very top of the LGBT chart this weekend, as Baby Yors hangs onto the #1 position with "Freak Out the People". Originally from Argentina, Baby Yors (whose real name is Marco Palou) has been living in the U.S.A. and recently relocated from New York City to Los Angeles. Over the past four days, the video for "Freak Out the People" has gained an additional 20,064 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 8.22% since the midweek's chart).

Four videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, three of which happen to be each climbing 8 notches from their positions on the midweek's chart: English singer/songwriter Years And Years at #3 with "Hallucination", Australian musician G Flip at #5 with "Gay 4 Me", and American singer/actor Jordan Doww at #9 with "Had Enough". They're joined in the Top 10 by English superstar Elton John, who's rising 6 spots to #10 with "Finish Line".

Ten songs fall off the chart to make way for ten new songs. The highest debut this weekend was "And Just Like That" by German vocalist Daniel Schuhmacher, entering the chart at #34. The track has already reached the Top 10 on the iTunes digital/streaming charts of two countries (#5 in Germany and #8 in Austria). Over the past half-week, the video for "And Just Like That" has gained an additional 439 YouTube views (which is a massive increase of 31.67% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 9 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from Germany, the U.S.A., Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Spain, Chile, Brazil, and Israel:
  • Orville Peck (from Ontario, Canada)
  • Andie Case (from Oregon, USA)
  • Raymix (from Mexico)
  • Pillow Queens (from Ireland)
  • Agoney (from Spain)
  • Vesta Lugg (from Chile)
  • Honey Dijon (originally from Illinois, USA & now residing in Germany)
  • Pabllo Vittar (from Brazil)
  • Karina Kay (from Israel)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes, with YouTube views accounting for two-thirds of the total points. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist and they must be available on YouTube.
