Chart notes:
After getting stuck at #2 for three weeks in a row, "Yours" by Greyson Chance has finally ascended to the #1 spot on the LGBT chart. This is the 2nd track to make it to #1 on this chart for Greyson (his video for "Shut Up" reached #1 back in March).

The remainder of the Top Five this week are: Ukrainian singer Maruv (moving up a spot to #2), the collaboration from American acts Lil Peep & ILoveMakonnen (climbing one notch to #3), American singer Daya (moving ahead 2 places to #4), and Dutch singer Duncan Laurence (slipping back 4 spots to land at #5).

Eleven songs fell off the chart this week to make way for eleven new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Started" by Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, coming in at #25. The video features appearances from Trixie Mattel and Vanessa Vanjie Matteo. Six other artists (LP, Esteman, Anna of the North, Aaron Porter, Mila Jam, and Bentley Jones) are returning to the chart with new videos, while an additional four artists (Fletcher, Parker Matthews, Allan Jay, and Chris Jehnert) are making their very first appearances on the LGBT chart.

Mila Jam's video for "Like the Last Time" (which debuts at #49 this week) features an actor whose face is concealed in every shot. After filming the video, the uncredited actor contacted Mila and asked to be removed from the footage. At the time of the shoot, he wasn't aware that Mila was transgender and later said that he felt "uncomfortable" appearing in the video with her. Mila decided to simply blur out his face in order to tell the story and now the clip has taken on a whole other meaning.

Chart positions are based on points assigned from: (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past 7 days, (4) percentage of increase in views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite songs, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
