Chart notes:
Maruv wasn't the winner at the Eurovision song contest this year (in fact, she withdrew after being chosen to represent her native Ukraine in the competition), but she's certainly a winner here on the LGBT chart. She moves up a notch this week to claim the #1 position with "Siren Song".

The remainder of the Top Five this week are: American singer Daya (moving up 2 more spots to #2), the collaboration from American singers Taylor Swift & Brendon Urie (climbing 5 spaces to #3), Dutch singer Douwe Bob (moving ahead 3 notches to #4), and American musician Greyson Chance (slipping 4 spots to #5).

Twelve songs fell off the chart this week to make way for 12 new songs. The highest debut of the week was "Nightmare" by American singer Halsey, coming in at #31. Nine other artists (Reigen, Wrabel, Cub Sport, Kevin Abstract, Tiago Braga, Flint Eastwood, J. Tyler, Keara Graves, and Alyson Stoner) are returning to the chart with new videos, while an additional two artists (Wils and LPX) are making their very first appearances on the LGBT chart.

English alt-rock singer LPX (the stage name for Lizzy Plapinger) makes her debut on the LGBT chart this week at #38 with "Give Up the Ghost". LPX should not be confused with the American singer LP (Laura Pergolizzi) who is also on the chart this week (climbing 7 spots to #27) with "When I'm Over You". LPX said in an interview with Metro Weekly magazine that she identifies as queer and that she's "very open to love in any form it finds me".

Chart positions are based on points assigned from (1) the previous week's position, (2) length of time on the chart, (3) views on YouTube from the past 7 days, (4) percentage of increase in views from the week prior, (5) my votes, and (6) any votes I've received by Thursday morning. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info above).
