Chart Week 37 of 2021: 12th September

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Chart Week #37 of 2021: Week of 12th September

Chart notes:
English musician Elton John has the new #1 on the LGBT chart this weekend with "Cold Heart", a collaboration with British singer Dua Lipa. The track has reached #1 on the official charts of two countries (their native U.K., and Lithuania) and has reached the Top 10 in five others (the U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and El Salvador). Over the past four days, the video for "Cold Heart" has gained an additional 1,463,076 views on YouTube (which is an impressive increase of 12.54% over the previous chart).

Five videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, four of which happen to be from American LGBTQ acts: the Brothers Osborne (from Maryland) are at #4 with "I'm Not for Everyone", Lizzo (from Texas) is at #6 with "Rumors", Sarah Barrios (from Connecticut) is at #7 with "Thank God You Introduced Me to Your Sister", and Violet Chachki (from Georgia) reaches #9 with "Mistress Violet". Joining them in the Top 10 is Spanish singer David Rees with "Me Gusta Un Chico", climbing 7 more notches to land at #10 this weekend.

Twelve songs fall off the chart to make way for twelve new songs. The highest debut was "No Está En Tus Planes" by Spanish vocalist Pablo Alborán, entering the chart at #34. The song, whose title translates to "It's Not in Your Plans" in English, is from Pablo's latest album Vértigo (which hit #1 on the Spanish album chart and also charted in Portugal, Chile, & Argentina). The video was recorded while Pablo was wrapping up a summer tour (delayed since last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Pablo says the time spent away from the stage has made him appreciate performing for a live audience more than ever, and that now he is "enjoying each concert as if it were the last."

Further down the chart, we have 11 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., England, Bulgaria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, and Romania:
  • Daniel Molyneaux (from England, UK)
  • Alek Sandar (originally from Bulgaria & now residing in Germany)
  • Renato Salerno (from the Czech Republic)
  • Pvris (from Massachusetts, USA)
  • Will Jay (from California, USA)
  • Renan Pitanga (from Brazil)
  • Cazwell (from Massachusetts, USA) & Kylie Sonique Love (from Georgia, USA)
  • Guard (from South Africa)
  • Miss Blanks (from Australia)
  • Jeremy Goff (from Florida, USA)
  • Afterbliss (from Ireland, Scotland, and Romania)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist & they must be available on YouTube.
