Midweek Chart: 22nd September 2021

    Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.   

Midweek Chart for 22nd September, 2021



Chart notes:
   Sarah Barrios holds onto the #1 position on the Midweek LGBT Chart with "Thank God You Introduced Me to Your Sister". Originally from Torrington, a small city in northwestern Connecticut, the singer/songwriter now makes her home in Los Angeles. This past week, The Advocate named Sarah as one of the "7 Queer Artists Who Rocked Our Summer". Over the past three days, the video for "Thank God You Introduced Me to Your Sister" has gained an additional 35,150 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 9.60% over the weekend chart).

   Four videos move up into the Top 10, including one re-entry from British singer Rita Ora (who's going back up a spot to #10 with her former #1 hit "You For Me"). Rapper/singer Yungblud (also from England) climbs 11 notches to #5 with "Fleabag". Czech musician Renato Salerno moves up 7 places to reach #7 with "Červený Koberce". And finally, they're joined in the Top 10 by Bulgarian/German artist Alek Sandar, rising 11 spots to #8 with "MYM (Me, You, and the Moon)".

   Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut was "I Got a Feeling" by German DJ/producer Felix Jaehn, entering the chart at #28. The track, a collaboration with German DJ/producer Robin Schulz and British vocalist Georgia Ku, is the first single to be released off Felix's upcoming album Breathe (which is due to be released on October 1st). Over the past half-week, the video for "I Got a Feeling" has gained an additional 70,632 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 29.44% over the weekend chart!).

   Further down the chart, we have 8 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from England, the U.S.A., Ireland, and Canada:

  • Shea Coulée (from Illinois, USA), along with Gess (from California, USA) & Mykki Blanco (from North Carolina, USA)

  • Blake McGrath (from Ontario, Canada)
  • Melissa Etheridge (originally from Kansas, USA)
  • Allusia Alusia (from California, USA)

   Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist & they must be available on YouTube.
