Chart Week 41 of 2021: 10th October

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Chart Week #41 of 2021: Week of 10th October

Chart notes:
American singer/songwriter Sarah Barrios manages to make it all the way back up to #1 for a third nonconsecutive week with "Thank God You Introduced Me to Your Sister", moving up 2 spaces from the midweek's #3 spot. The video surpassed one million total views on YouTube yesterday. Sarah told Atwood Magazine that she has been surrounded by music since her childhood in Connecticut (because her parents were both musicians) and that she started writing her own original songs when she was just 13 years old. Over the past four days, the video for "Thank God You Introduced Me to Your Sister" has gained an additional 89,845 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 9.58% over the midweek chart).

Three videos move up into the Top 10 this weekend, including the former #1 hit "Cold Heart" by British duo Elton John and Dua Lipa (who've also spent 3 weeks at #1); they're still racking up strong numbers from YouTube views, so the video moves back up 4 places to #8. Australian musician Troye Sivan climbs 7 more notches to #9 with "Angel Baby". And finally, they're joined in the Top 10 by American rapper/singer Serena Isioma (from Illinois), who's rising 1 more position to land at #10 with "Voulez-Vous Me To...".

Nine songs fall off the chart to make way for nine new songs. The highest debut was "Where Are You Now?" by English vocalist Calum Scott, entering the chart at #27. The track is a collaboration with Belgian DJ/producer Lost Frequencies. Over the past half-week, the video for "Where Are You Now?" has gained an additional 541,297 YouTube views (which is an increase of 8.85% over the previous chart period).

Further down the chart, we have 8 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from Spain, the U.S.A., Peru, Japan, and Sweden:
  • Jake Wesley Rogers (from Missouri, USA)
  • Allen King & Pol Prince (both from Spain)
  • Kacey Musgraves (from Texas, USA)
  • Adrian Bello (from Peru)
  • Melissa Etheridge (originally from Kansas, USA)
  • Taichi Mukai (from Japan)
  • Mila Jam (from Illinois, USA)
  • Omar Rudberg (from Sweden)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist & they must be available on YouTube.
