Midweek Chart: 20th October 2021

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Midweek Chart for 20th October 2021

Chart notes:
Australian singer/songwriter Troye Sivan stays put at #1 on the LGBT Midweek Chart with "Angel Baby". The track has already reached the Top 20 on the airplay charts of two different countries (currently at #18 in Singapore and at #19 in New Zealand) according to IFPI. In the U.S.A., the song appears in two of the official radio airplay charts published by MediaBase (currently at #41 on the MediaBase HotAC Chart and at #43 on the MediaBase CHR/Top 40 Chart). Over the past three days, the video for "Angel Baby" has gained an additional 530,426 views on YouTube (which is a massive increase of 90.67% since the weekend chart!).

Three videos move up into the Top 10, including the former #1 hit "I Got a Feeling" by German DJ/producer Felix Jaehn who is moving back up 4 spots to #7. He's joined in the Top 10 by two American acts: Tom Goss (from Kenosha, Wisconsin) is rising 11 places to #9 with "Best Life", while Danny Blu (from New York City) climbs 9 more notches to #10 with "Predator".

Four songs fall off the chart to make way for four new songs. The highest debut was "Panic Attacks in Paradise" by American/British rapper/singer Ashnikko, entering the chart at #41. Originally from North Carolina, Ashnikko (whose real name is Ashley Nicole Casey) relocated as a teenager to Eastern Europe with her parents. The family lived in Estonia for a year, then moved again to Latvia. At the time, she was the only American in Latvia attending a Latvian public high school. After she turned 18, Ashnikko moved to London to pursue her career in music. Over the past half-week, the video for "Panic Attacks in Paradise" has gained an additional 745,721 YouTube views (which is a huge increase of 16.96% over the previous chart period!).

Further down the chart, we have 3 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A. and Poland:
  • Ryan Cassata (from New York, USA)
  • Torrey Mercer (from California, USA)
  • Andrzej Piaseczny (from Poland)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist & they must be available on YouTube.
