Midweek Chart: 13th October 2021

Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.

Midweek Chart for 13th October, 2021

Chart notes:
American singer Trevi Moran has the new #1 on the LGBT chart with "Faces", rising 2 notches from the weekend's #3 position. As a teenager, Trevi (who's from Poway, California) auditioned for The X Factor in 2012. She amassed a YouTube following of more than 3 million subscribers before coming out publicly as transgender last year. Over the past three days, the video for "Faces" has gained an additional 13,999 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 9.34% over the weekend chart).

Three videos move up into the Top 10, all of which happen to be from American artists. Lil Nas X (from Lithia Springs, Georgia) jumps ahead 12 notches to #7 with "That's What I Want". Kehlani (from Oakland, California) climbs 10 spots to #8 with "Altar". And finally, Syd (from Los Angeles, California) moves up 4 more places to #9 with "Right Track".

Eleven songs fall off the chart to make way for eleven new songs. The highest debut was "Predator" by American singer Danny Blu, entering the chart at #36. Danny is based in New York City & is the lead singer of the alt-rock band Echo Black as well as self-releasing his own music as an independent solo artist. He describes his solo work as a blend of electronic, goth, industrial, and dark synth pop. In an interview with Brutal Resonance, Danny further explained that "Releasing music on my own allows me a different level of creative freedom. In both the audio and the visual, Danny Blu is definitely more aggressively queer than Echo Black." Over the past half-week, the video for "Predator" has gained an additional 1,503 YouTube views (which is an increase of 8.80% over the previous chart period).

Further down the chart, we have 10 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from the U.S.A., Spain, Brazil, Italy, England, Mexico, and Chile:
  • Agoney (from Spain)
  • Homer Marrs (from Illinois, USA)
  • Tom Goss (from Wisconsin, USA)
  • Madblush (from Brazil)
  • Tiziano Ferro (from Italy)
  • Joshua Bassett (from California, USA)
  • Steps (from England, UK)
  • Zemmoa (from Mexico)
  • Nick Bolt (from Chile)
  • Anna Akana (from California, USA)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views & votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist & they must be available on YouTube.
