Twice a week, Tad's LGBT Music Chart brings you the Top 50 music videos by LGBTQ artists from around the world.
Midweek Chart for 1st December, 2021
Chart notes:
American rocker Maggie Lindemann (who's originally from Dallas, Texas) reaches the #1 spot on the LGBT chart at midweek with "She Knows It", as she moves up two more places from the weekend's #3 position. "I wrote this song about liking a girl with a boyfriend when I first started writing my new album," Maggie recently shared during an interview with Alternative Press. She explained, "It was a couple of years ago, but I was just so hurt about it because I felt like I was really being led on and used. I know a lot of women-loving-women can relate to this topic." Over the past three days, the video for "She Knows It" has gained an additional 156,925 views on YouTube (which is an increase of 9.66% since the weekend's chart).
Two videos move up into the Top 10 at midweek. Transgender Venezuelan/Spanish artist Arca climbs 7 notches to #8 with "Prada/Rakata". Japanese singer Taichi Mukai rises 3 spots to #10 with "Bravest", which is also the new theme song for the Japanese television anime series Dragon Quest: Dai No Daibouken.
Ten songs fall off the chart to make way for ten new songs. The highest debut was "New Shapes" by British musician Charli XCX and French singer/songwriter Héloïse Letissier (better known as Christine And The Queens), entering the chart at #35. The track is a collaboration with American vocalist Caroline Polachek (originally from Connecticut). Over the past half-week, the video for "New Shapes" has gained an additional 71,967 YouTube views (which is an increase of 7.81% over the previous chart period).
Further down the chart, we have 9 more debuts by LGBTQ artists from Sweden, England, Brazil, Canada, the U.S.A., and Mexico:
- Frankie Simone (from Oregon, USA)
- Darin (from Sweden)
- Alex Blue (from Colorado, USA)
- Years And Years (from England, UK)
- Danny Bond (from Brazil)
- Rufus Wainwright (originally from the USA & now residing in Canada)
- Tami T (from Sweden)

Chart positions are based on points assigned from a combination of YouTube views and votes. If you'd like to vote for your favorite videos, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog (anonymous comments are permitted) or send me a private message (see the contact info below). Suggestions for new videos are also welcomed, but they must be from an LGBTQ artist & they must be available on YouTube.
